Oops! Write The Word 'racist' On Twitter That Appears President Donald Trump's Account

JAKARTA - The President of the United States (US) Donald Trump has made controversial statements quite often, especially his comments regarding the demonstration of the death of black citizen, George Floyd. As a result, not a few netizens considered Trump as the leader of a racist country.

Even if you write the word 'racist' or racist on Twitter, the top figure that appears based on the search results on the social media platform is @realDonaldTrump. It is not known why Donald Trump's account name was classified in the person's wanted list.

As reported by CNET, since Friday, June 6, a number of Twitter users posted a Trump account that appeared in the top search for the 'People' column when writing the word 'racist'. VOI tried it and the result, the top account name based on that word is Trump.

A Twitter spokesman said the search recommendation could have occurred because the algorithm on the platform summarizes the keywords mentioned by the netizen and is aimed at the account. The result is that social media with the blue bird logo raises account names that match the entered keywords.

The accounts other than Trump that appear are those with the keyword 'racist' in the name or Twitter bio. So most likely, this is what makes Trump's account name appear in people's top searches, with the keyword 'racist' on Twitter.

Recently Trump himself has indeed been arguing with Twitter. This followed after Twitter embed a 'fact check' label in several of Trump's tweets.

Especially in the incident of the death of black citizen George Floyd, which triggered demonstrations and protests against racism. President Trump has often made controversial statements, which sparked comments from netizens.

Even Twitter, had the chance to disguise Trump's tweet because it was deemed to have violated the social media platform's policies, one of which was glorified as hate speech. Trump's actions have also been criticized by Trump, who promised to issue regulations related to censorship of social media companies such as Twitter and Facebook.
