COVID-19 Update As Of June 6: The Highest Addition Of Positive Cases Is In East Java

Based on data compiled by the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, East Java Province is the region with the highest increase in cases, although the number of recovered patients has also reportedly increased significantly.

"The highest increase today was obtained from examinations in East Java as many as 286 cases, although on the same day East Java also reported cases of recovery as many as 154 cases," he said, at Graha BNPB, East Jakarta, Saturday, June 6.

Furthermore, Yuri said, the second highest after East Java was DKI Jakarta which reported an additional 104 cases, followed by Papua 87, North Sulawesi 79 and North Sumatra 68 people.

Regarding the additional case in DKI Jakarta, according to Yuri, this figure came from the results of tracing which was carried out aggressively coupled with the arrival of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) who entered through Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

"DKI Jakarta, based on the study we got from the data, was partly obtained from the results of tracing which was carried out aggressively against positive contacts, plus Indonesian migrant workers who entered through Soekarno-Hatta," he explained.

Yuri explained that the accumulated case data were taken from the results of 394,068 specimen examination tests carried out using the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method in 103 laboratories, the Rapid Melocular Test (TCM) in 67 laboratories and network laboratories (RT-PCR and TCM) in 192. lab. Overall, 264,740 people were examined and the results were 30,514 positive (cumulative) and 234,226 negative (cumulative).

Then for the number of people under surveillance (ODP) who are still being monitored there are 46,571 people and Patients Under Supervision (PDP) who are still being monitored there are 13,347 people. The data is taken from 34 provinces and 421 districts / cities in the country.

Meanwhile, data for the top 5 provinces with the most cumulative positive cases are DKI Jakarta 7,870 people, East Java 5,835, West Java 2,376, South Sulawesi 1,840, and Central Java 1,564.

As for the spread of positive cases in other provinces, namely, Aceh 20 cases, Bali 557 cases, Banten 1025 cases, Bangka Belitung 98 cases, Bengkulu 92 cases, Yogyakarta 242 cases, Jambi 103 cases, West Kalimantan 210 cases, East Kalimantan 327 cases, Central Kalimantan 496 cases, South Kalimantan 1,247 cases, and North Kalimantan 168 cases.

Then in Riau Islands, 227 cases, West Nusa Tenggara 798 cases, South Sumatra 1,104 cases, West Sumatra 618 cases, North Sulawesi 470 cases, North Sumatra 605 cases, and Southeast Sulawesi 257 cases.

Yuri said, based on data received by the Task Force from 34 Provinces in the country, DKI Jakarta Province was the region with the highest number of recovered cases, namely 2,836 followed by East Java with 1,361 West Java 779, South Sulawesi 673, Central Java 409 and other regions in Indonesia. reached 9,907 people.
