Anies Baswedan Asks PKK Mothers To Help Endorses COVID-19 Vaccinations To Residents
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan asked the Family Welfare Development (PKK) women to take part in inviting their citizens to carry out free COVID-19 vaccinations through government programs.
She conveyed this in a virtual delivery of directions with the Chairperson of the PKK Mobilization Team, Fery Farhati, and all representatives of PKK women from the district/city level to the RT-RW.
"We are now holding a vaccination program. Clinic clinics, health services, they prepare the vaccine, the staff, the place. We need the support of mothers to invite people to flock to the vaccination site," Anies said in a DKI Jakarta YouTube show, Monday, July 19. .
Anies said that socialization assistance so that residents want to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by PKK women is needed to meet the target of 1,000 residents in each kelurahan to receive vaccine injections per day.
"We request that the mobilization team members gather a thousand people per kelurahan every day. If there are 10 RWs in one kelurahan, each RW will send 100 people for vaccines every day. We will do that so that Jakarta's citizens are protected," said Anies .
Anies explained that vaccination is one way to increase immunity, while the other route is to be infected with COVID-19 first.
The former Minister of Education and Culture admitted that he did not want the immunity of citizens to be formed by being infected first because it could increase the number of COVID-19 cases and patients being treated.
Therefore, the best way to create immunity is vaccination. Then, Anies thought that PKK and Dasawisma mothers were able to socialize vaccinations because they had experience in infant immunization programs.
"Later, the mothers will be provided with information. The Head of the Communications and Informatics Service will regularly send materials that mothers can use for socialization, including explanations for hoax news. Later, mothers will be provided with these materials, so that they can socialize well," he explained.
