Walkot Tjhai Chui Mie Distributes PPKM Social Assistance To 10,668 Families In Singkawang, Contains 10 Kg Of Rice

PONTIANAK - Singkawang Mayor (Walkot) Tjhai Chui Mie handed over PPKM assistance in the form of 10 kilograms of rice from the Ministry of Social Affairs to 10,668 Heads of Families (KK) spread across five sub-district offices in Singkawang City.

"This distribution of rice is carried out simultaneously throughout Indonesia, where Singkawang City gets a share of 3.8 percent of the total aid in West Kalimantan, which amounts to 280,856 families," said Tjhai Chui Mie in Singkawang as reported by Antara, Monday, July 19.

Especially for Singkawang City, he said there were 10,668 families with each household getting 10 kilograms of rice.

The recipients of this rice aid consisted of 7,417 Family Hope Recipients (PKH), while 3,251 Cash Social Assistance (BST) recipients.

"Today, the distribution will be continued to each sub-district so that it can be conveyed to the people who have been registered," he said.

On behalf of the Singkawang City Government, he thanked the President of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Social Affairs for providing this rice assistance through the Singkawang City Logistics Agency.

"We will also provide assistance to the Singkawang community who are affected by PPKM but are not recorded at the Ministry of Social Affairs. Later we will return the data with the Singkawang Village and Social Service," he said.

Tjhai Chui Mie also appealed to Muslims to welcome Eid al-Adha, considering that Singkawang is still implementing Emergency PPKM. He hoped that strict procedures would always be applied.

"Currently we are still in the Emergency PPKM rules because previously Singkawang was in the red zone. Hopefully after this we can carry out activities according to the Micro PPKM, because Singkawang is currently in the orange zone, if necessary our zone will decrease again if the Singkawang people obey and comply with the procedures," he hoped.
