Use XL Home To Play Games On TV Via Smartphone

JAKARTA - Telecommunication operator XL Axiata presents game services at home that customers can play via television. Without using any game consoles, XL Home users can play games on TV with just their smartphone.

This service was realized thanks to the collaboration between XL Axiata and AirConsole, a Swiss gaming company that can provide game services on TV. To be able to play games on TV, users only need to access the AirConsole application which is already installed on the XL Home Entertainment Box and connect it to the application on a smartphone.

"Our collaboration with AirConsole allows customers who are also gamers, to play the games they like on their television screens at home, even though it's not a smart TV and doesn't have a game console," said XL Axiata Director of Corporate Strategy & Business Development Abhijit Navalekar in the broadcast. press, Friday, June 5.

According to Abhijit, XL Home Entertainment Box is able to turn customers' ordinary televisions into smart TVs and can access various quality entertainment shows. Moreover, the presence of this game service from AirConsole will add entertainment channels that can be enjoyed by their users while working and doing activities at home.

He explained that XL offers free access to be able to play all games on AirConsole until July 3, 2020. Even though after that the offer will end, users can still play several game titles provided or continue to subscribe to AirConsole Hero if they want to regain full access.

In terms of network, XL Axiata itself has expanded its coverage area. Where XL Home has reached more than 300,000 homes in Jabodetabek via fiber optic network.

The development of this coverage area is a response to the increasing public interest in being able to get broadband fiber internet service at home. Apart from Jabodetabek, the XL Home network has also reached several big cities such as Bandung, Surabaya, Malang and Solo in June 2020.
