Tontowi also advised the selected athletes not to stop fighting before the match was over.
"My message before the game is over, never stop fighting," he said.
As is known, the Indonesian contingent for the Tokyo Olympics was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Menpora Zainudin Amali, online on Thursday, July 8.
The decision to hold an online inauguration event was agreed after the surge in cases of Corona virus infection in Indonesia, where the government is implementing Emergency PPKM to reduce the curve of the spread of COVID-19.
Zainudin Amali said from the start, Indonesia had targeted to pass at least 22 athletes to the 32nd largest sports multievent. And until the qualifying period was closed, the Red and White team successfully passed 28 athletes.
He also hopes that the 28 athletes who represent Indonesia at the Tokyo Olympics can get maximum results to make Indonesia proud on the world stage.
