BMKG Forecast Most Of Indonesia Is Sunny With Clouds, Jakarta Is Sunny

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most parts of Indonesia will be cloudy on Friday, July 16. As for the city of Jakarta and its surroundings, the weather is forecasted to be sunny.

The areas that are predicted to experience cloudy skies are Banda Aceh, Denpasar, Serang, Bengkulu, Yogyakarta, Central Jakarta, Pontianak, Pangkal Pinang, Bandar Lampung, Jayapura, Pekanbaru, Padang, Palembang and Medan.

Meanwhile, areas that are predicted to be sunny are Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya and Kupang. Cloudy areas are predicted to include Gorontalo, Jambi, Samarinda, Tarakan, Mataram, Manokwari and Kendari.

The areas that are forecasted for light rain are Banjarmasin, Palangkaraya, Tanjung Pinang, Ambon, Makassar and Manado. For Mamuju, it is predicted that there will be moderate rain and Ternate will experience thunderstorms.

The BMKG warned that a number of areas with the potential for heavy rain that could be accompanied by lightning or strong winds are Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku, West Papua and Papua.

Areas that have the potential for rain that can be accompanied by lightning or thunder and strong winds are South Sumatra, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, and Gorontalo.

Meanwhile, areas that have the potential for strong winds are the Riau Islands, West Nusa Tenggara, and East Nusa Tenggara.

BMKG estimates that the weather in Jakarta will be mostly sunny and cloudy throughout Friday, July 16. BMKG through the official website bmkg.go.id in Jakarta, explained that in the morning the weather in the entire DKI area will be cloudy, except for West Jakarta which is expected to be cloudy.

Then during the day, the majority of the sky in DKI Jakarta is also cloudy, except in West Jakarta and East Jakarta it is predicted to be cloudy.

Entering the night until early morning, all areas in Jakarta are expected to be cloudy. The air temperature in DKI Jakarta is estimated to be in the range of a minimum of 24 degrees to a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the humidity level in Jakarta is estimated to be in the range of a minimum of 55 to a maximum of 85 percent.
