Methamphetamine Smugglers In Anal Holes Wrapped In Condoms From Batam Arrested In NTB
MATARAM - West Nusa Tenggara Province National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) officers foiled the smuggling of seven ounces (737.54 grams) of crystal methamphetamine from Batam.
The head of the NTB BNNP Brigadier General Gagas Nugraha said the drug smuggling was foiled by the arrest of three men.
"The three perpetrators have the initials S from Batu Belek, Aikmel, East Lombok, R from Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, and RN from Batam, Riau Islands," said Gagas, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 15.
He said the smuggling was revealed when he arrived at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM), Central Lombok Regency, last weekend.
Gagas explained that the officers arrested them based on information about their movement from the Batam area. His identity was revealed from tracking his "boarding pass".
From the examination of the body, each perpetrator was revealed to have hidden the illicit goods in the anal canal. With packages wrapped in condoms, each perpetrator kept about 250 grams of crystal methamphetamine in his rectum.
"So this is their way of tricking the officers. In this way, they can escape the officer's inspection at the airport," he said.
From the examination, it was revealed that the roles of the three were only as couriers. An identity emerges from the role of the messenger and the orderer of goods. The identity of the person has now been pocketed by officers.
"Who is it, we are still investigating," he said.
The illicit goods, said Gagas, are planned to be brought directly to the East Lombok area for distribution. If they succeed in bringing them to their destination, each perpetrator will receive a wage of IDR 10 million per ounce.
Now all three have been languishing in the NTB BNNP detention cell. They were named as suspects under the suspicion of Article 112 Paragraph and/or Article 114 Paragraph 2 of Law Number 35/2009 concerning Narcotics.
