Jakarta Not Included In The 2022 Formula E Calendar, PSI: Governor Anies, Forget His Ambitions, Withdraw People's Money
JAKARTA - Member of the PSI faction of the DKI DPRD, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, asked DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to forget his dream of holding Formula E in the capital.
This is because the International Automotive Federation (FIA) as the manager of Formula E in New York has released a temporary calendar for the implementation of Formula E in 2022. However, Jakarta is not on the list of organizers for that year.
"Governor Anies, don't keep fooling the people. This has been postponed for 3 years. It's better to forget about the ambition to organize Formula E," Anggara told reporters, Wednesday, July 14.
In addition, Anggara also asked Anies to withdraw the budget that had been disbursed, namely the commitment fee to Formula E Operations Limited (FEO) and Bank Guarantee with a total of almost Rp1 trillion.
In detail, there is a commitment fee paid in 2019 worth Rp360 billion. Furthermore, in 2020, the commitment fee paid is equivalent to IDR 200.3 billion. Then, the Bank Guarantee that was paid was Rp. 423 billion.
Moreover, said Anggara, Jakarta could actually still be included in the calendar with tentative provisions. However, unfortunately, the absence of the name Jakarta on the temporary schedule shows that Jakarta is not taken into account in the Formula E event.
"Withdraw people's money, which is worth almost 1 trillion rupiah. Don't make excuses and empty rhetoric," said Anggara.
Anggara views that the budget that has been disbursed from the APBD is very much needed to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic that Jakarta residents are currently facing.
"Don't say Jakarta doesn't have the funds for the COVID-19 pandemic if you don't want to fight for the refund of 1 trillion in Formula E," he concluded.
