This result is based on the State of Mobile Network Experience 2020 report, a survey conducted in 44 major cities in Indonesia, from January 1 to March 31, 2020. From the survey, Bekasi City got a score of 60.3 which was in the 'Good' category. On par with the mobile video streaming experience in Medan. Meanwhile, cities in other Java regions such as South Tangerang have a score of 59.9, Surabaya with a score of 59.8, Bandung with a score of 59.6, and Jakarta with a score of 59.1.
Overall, in this report entitled State of Mobile Network Experience report 2020, Indonesia succeeded in increasing the video experience rating from fair to good category.
In his explanation, OpenSignal said that the more users are doing video streaming activities that are data-hungry, the network capacity is depressed so that it can reduce quality.
"While operators generally tend to concentrate their networks and upgrade capacity in larger cities, often that increase cannot keep pace with the growing demand for data consumption in a technologically literate and densely populated metropolis," wrote OpenSignal.
