COVID-19 Update As Of July 13: Record 47,899 New Cases, Active Case Reaches 407 Thousand

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 227,083 specimens were examined with the result that there were 47,899 new positive cases of COVID-19.

The increase in COVID-19 cases today reached a new record. Previously, the highest daily case increase was on July 12, amounting to 40,427 cases.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 2,615,529 and active cases are 407,709," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, July 13.

Today's recovered cases increased by 20,123 cases, bringing the total to 2,139,601 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 864 people and a total of 68,219 people.

The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 12,182 cases and a total of 689,243 cases. Followed by West Java which has 7,192 new cases with a total of 467,141 cases. East Java has 6,269 new cases and a total of 203,372 cases. Then, Banten has 4,016 new cases and a total of 69,592 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 4,571 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 4,170 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 2,433 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 2,131 recovered cases.

No province has reported no new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 22,133,149.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 41.46 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 181,043 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

To date, there are 36,914,607 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 15,190,998 of the second dose of vaccination.
