Police Arrest Conspiracy Of Car Mirror Thief In Matraman
JAKARTA - Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Matraman Police, East Jakarra, arrested four perpetrators of theft of car mirrors.
Matraman Police Chief Kompol Tedjo Asmoro said the four thieves were arrested while they were in action in the Matraman area, East Jakarta.
"We caught the rear view mirror thieves that have been on the rise recently due to public reports," said Tedjo Asmoro, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 13.
Tedjo said that from the arrest, officers also confiscated evidence of three sacks containing mirrors of various types of stolen cars.
"We have secured four people and their two motorbikes. We have secured complete evidence. We searched, we investigated the evidence, there were three sacks," said Tedjo.
Tedjo said the four people arrested were on average 20 years old with the initials AS, DA, R and CN. Based on the examination, the four admitted that this was the first time they had committed theft of a car rearview mirror.
The plan is that the stolen car mirrors will be sold to dealers in the Hayam Wuruk area, Central Jakarta. Matraman Police continues to develop the case of the car mirror theft.
