Police Destroy 3.6 Tons Of Methamphetamine International Network

JAKARTA - The National Police's Criminal Investigation Body destroyed 3.6 tons of methamphetamine which was confiscated in the disclosure of three cases. The evidence for methamphetamine comes from an international network case.

"Today, 3.6 tons of crystal methamphetamine will be destroyed, which will be carried out in a synergistic way, involving not only the National Police, but also other ministries," said the National Police's Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Komjen Agus Andrianto, to reporters on Tuesday, July 13.

In addition, the Director of Nakorba Crime of the National Police, Brigadier General Krisno Halomoan Siregar said that 23 suspects had been arrested in this case. In addition, two of the three drug networks are from the Middle East.

"1.3 tons of methamphetamine from the Middle East-Indonesia network, was confiscated from 7 suspects from the Aceh-Jakarta-Makassar syndicate by the National Police's Narcotics Directorate of Drugs and Crime," said Krisno.

"1.2 tons of methamphetamine from the Middle East-Indonesia network, was confiscated from 10 suspects from the Aceh-Jakarta syndicate by the National Police's red and white task force team," he continued.

While the rest are Malaysian-Indonesian networks that have named six suspects. From the disclosure of the case, at least 1,129 tons of methamphetamine were confiscated.

"The 1.129 tons of methamphetamine from the Malaysia-Indonesia network were confiscated from 6 suspects from the Aceh-Jakarta syndicate by the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Directorate and Central Jakarta Police," he said.

The destruction of the methamphetamine was carried out by burning it using a high-temperature incinerator.
