BMKG Predicts Sunny Cloudy Weather Will Dominate Big Cities In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts the weather situation in various major cities in Indonesia will be dominated by cloudy skies on Tuesday, July 13. Reported from the www.bmkg.go.id page, a number of areas that have sunny weather throughout the day include Banda Aceh, Denpasar, Serang, Yogyakarta, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Bandar Lampung, Ternate, Mataram, Kupang, Jayapura, Palembang.

However, heavy rains accompanied by lightning are also predicted to hit several areas, such as Pontianak during the day and night, Samarinda at night, Mamuju at night, Manado during the day.

A number of provincial capitals are also expected to receive light to heavy rain, including Bengkulu, Gorontalo, Jambi, Banjar, Palangkaraya, Samarinda, Tarakan, Pangkal Pinang, Tanjung Pinang, Ambon, Manokwari, Mamuju and Kendari.

The average temperature situation in big cities ranges from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius with humidity levels ranging from 50 to 100 percent.

BMKG conveyed an early warning of heavy rain accompanied by lightning in Lebak Regency, Serang, Banten to be wary of the public. The same situation also applies in Bengkulu in the form of moderate to heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds.
