During The Emergency PPKM, The Mobility Of Citizens To Work In The Capital City Dropped By 17.2 Percent
JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that there was a 17.2 percent decrease in mobility or the movement of people to work during the implementation of Emergency PPKM in Jakarta in the capital city.
This decline, said Syafrin, was compared to the mobility of residents during the previous Micro PPKM period.
"People's mobility when viewed using the Google application on July 3 to 7 compared to data from June 5 to 9, 2021, decreased by 17.2 percent," Syafrin told reporters, Tuesday, July 13.
Then, the mobility of residents to public transportation centers also decreased by 25.8 percent, to retail and recreation stores decreased by 27.4 percent, to grocery stores and pharmacies decreased by 11.2 percent, and parks decreased by 22.6 percent.
"Only mobility in residential areas increased by 10.2 percent," he said.
When the mobility of citizens decreases, the number of passengers on public transportation also decreases. The number of daily passengers for urban public transport in Emergency PPKM decreased by 46.66 percent, from 965,779 passengers per day during Micro PPKM to 515,137 passengers per day.
"The number of daily passengers for AKAP transportation in Emergency PPKM also decreased by 59.12 percent or to 2,195 passengers per day, compared to 5,369 passengers per day for Micro PPKM," he said.
It is known that the Emergency PPKM is valid in Java-Bali and 15 other districts/cities until next July 20. The following are the complete rules for the Java-Bali emergency PPKM:
1. 100 percent work from home for non-essential sector offices2. All teaching and learning activities are carried out online3. Essential sector offices are subject to a maximum of 50 percent of work from office (WFO) employees with a health protocol and for critical sectors a maximum of 100 percent of WFO employees are allowed with a health protocol. Supermarkets, traditional markets, grocery stores, and supermarkets selling daily necessities are limited to operating hours until 20:00 local time with a capacity of 50 percent of visitors. Pharmacies and drug stores may be fully open for 24 hours. Shopping centers/malls/trade centers are closed.5. The implementation of eating/drinking activities in public places (restaurants, restaurants, cafes, street vendors, hawker stalls), both those located in separate locations and those located in shopping centers/malls only accept delivery/take away and do not accept food on the spot (dining in). 6. The implementation of construction activities (construction sites and project sites) operates 100 percent by implementing stricter health protocols7.
