Exposed COVID-19, Nakes In Rejang Lebong Died With 37-Week-Old Fetus
REJANG LEBONG - A health worker who served at the Curup Hospital, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province died due to being confirmed positive for COVID-19.
The director of the Curup Hospital, Samiri, said the health worker who died was a female NA. NA served as head of the children's room at the Curup Hospital.
"The deceased died while undergoing treatment at the Ar Bunda Hospital, Lubuklinggau City, South Sumatra. I received the first information that said he died Monday morning at around 03.55 WIB," said Samiri in Rejang Lebong, Antara, Monday, July 12.
After receiving the news that his staff at the Curup Hospital had died, Samiri then reported it to a number of parties including Rejang Lebong Regent Syamsul Effendi. Then immediately pick up the bodies in Lubuklinggau City.
The staff who died, he said, were known to be pregnant with their fourth child with 37 weeks of gestation. NA has been undergoing treatment at the Ar Bunda Hospital in Lubuklinggau since last July 7 or the day before being tested positive for COVID-19.
In addition to the health worker on duty at the Curup Hospital, a few days earlier the wife of the nurse at that place was also declared dead due to being infected with COVID.
The release of the bodies of the health workers at the Curup Hospital was carried out in a special ceremony held by the management of the Curup Hospital in the presence of the Regent Syamsul Effendi together with the Vice Regent Hendra Wahyudiansyah, the heads of FKPD and hundreds of employees of the Curup Hospital.
Before leaving for the TPU Cemetery of Kesambe Lama Village, East Curup District at around 09.30 WIB with health protocols, the deceased was offered prayers by her colleagues who served at the Curup Hospital.
Data from the Rejang Lebong Regency COVID-19 Handling Task Force stated that the number of residents who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 from June 2020 to date has reached 1,453. A total of 1,357 cases were declared cured, 31 cases died and 65 cases were still under surveillance.
