KRL Passengers Haven't Used A Lot Of STRP, But Bring This Letter
JAKARTA - Head of the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) of the Ministry of Transportation, Polana B. Pramesti, said that not many people have used Worker Registration Certificates (STRP). This STRP is a requirement to ride the KRL during the Emergency PPKM period.
"Most of them use permits from their respective company leaders explaining that they are workers from essential and critical sectors who are allowed to continue their activities," Polana said, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 12.
Polana explained that the conclusion was the result of observations and evaluations of the BPTJ Team who participated in monitoring and checking at the Bogor Train Station and 6 other stations in Greater Jakarta, including Bekasi Station, Bojong Gede Station, Cilebut Station, Citayam Station, Cikarang Station, and Depok Station.
He said the surveillance activities involved various stakeholders such as the Police, TNI, the local Transportation Service and personnel from PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI).
In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transportation No. 50, it is stated that routine commuters in the agglomeration area must be equipped with a STRP issued by the local regional head or a letter of assignment signed by the respective company leaders.
However, according to Polana, the inspection of the travel requirements went quite smoothly.
"It's just that there are still KRL users who have not used double masks, so they need to be warned by officers," explained Polana.
In addition, as long as the results of the monitoring carried out this morning did not occur, there were no significant queues at the train stations serving KRL.
"At around 07.00 WIB, the passengers are relatively sloping," said Polana.
As for AKAP buses, he said during one week of the implementation of Emergency PPKM, the number of AKAP bus passengers at four Type A bus terminals under the management of BPTJ continued to decline.
The decline in passengers at the four terminals, respectively, namely Bogor Baranangsiang Terminal, Depok Jatijajar Terminal, Tangerang Poris Plawad Terminal and South Tangerang Pondok Cabe Terminal when compared to the average passenger in June 2021.
BPTJ explained that the most significant decline in AKAP bus passengers occurred at Poris Plawad Terminal.
"From previously serving 500 passengers per day on average, it fell to 165 passengers per day or decreased by around 67 percent," he said.
According to Polana, the decline in the number of passengers also occurred at the Jatijajar Terminal. From previously serving an average of 513 passengers per day to 237 passengers per day, down about 53.8 percent.
"Meanwhile, the AKDP bus decreased by around 41.66 percent from the previous average of 48 people per day to 28 passengers per day," explained Polana.
There was also a decrease in passengers at Pondok Cabe Terminal and Baranangsiang Terminal.
“For Pondok Cabe Terminal, the daily average of passengers departing from this terminal decreased by around 58.97 percent. In June 2021, there were 39 passengers per day, during the Emergency PPKM it only served 16 passengers per day," said Polana.
Then for Baranangsiang Terminal, the decrease in the number of AKAP passengers departing from this terminal decreased by about 28.72 percent and for AKDP it was down by around 24.84 percent.
“For AKAP, from the previous 188 passengers per day to 134 passengers per day. As for the AKDP bus passengers, from the original 330 passengers per day, it has now become 248 passengers per day, "explained Polana.
