Worsened When Taken To The Hospital, General Practitioner In A Private Clinic In Cianjur Dies Of Exposure To COVID-19
CIANJUR - The Cianjur COVID-19 Task Force, West Java, again recorded that a doctor died of positive COVID-19 after undergoing isolation at the Cianjur Hospital.
"The health condition of general practitioners who work in private clinics continues to decline during isolation. The death of general practitioners who work in private clinics adds to the record of medical personnel who died during the pandemic," said Cianjur COVID-19 Information and Coordination Center Spokesperson, Dr. Yusman Faisal when contacted, Antara, Monday, July 12.
With this addition, the number of medical personnel who died due to COVID-19 during the pandemic has increased to three. Two of them are nurses.
Yusman added that the doctor's condition had worsened when he was taken to the Cianjur Hospital. Even the saturation is at 70 percent so that maximum treatment is carried out in the ICU.
"Until now, there are still many medical personnel who are undergoing isolation in hospitals and special villas, we hope they can recover as before and return to their activities as before," he said.
To anticipate the loss of life, both the general public and medical personnel, his party continues to appeal to remain vigilant by maintaining health, implementing strict procedures and continuing to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for health workers on duty.
The Head of Public Relations of the Cianjur Hospital, Diana Wulandari, said that the deceased, who was a general practitioner at a private health clinic in Cianjur, came with a deteriorating condition, so the treatment was carried out in the ICU.
But after a few hours of getting treatment, his condition continued to decline and by noon the patient died.
