When Ryan Reynolds Becomes Boring Game NPC In Free Guy
JAKARTA - Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds will play an NPC or Non-Playable Character in a game in his latest film. The film, entitled 'Free Guy', is scheduled to air in July 2020.
The premise of the story in this film will center on the character who will be played by Ryan Reynolds. "What if the characters in the video game were living people," is really a simple film concept, if the game characters suddenly come to life and start interacting with the players.
The concept of this story certainly reminds us of the Disney animated film 'Wreck it Ralph'. But because this is played by Ryan Reynolds, of course the storyline will be like the film 'Ready Player One' or maybe 'Tron'.
Launching from Polygon, this DeadPool actor will play an NPC character in an open-world game such as the Grand Theft Auto game but this is the live action version. In this film, Ryan is an NPC who every day works like a "normal" person in the midst of a chaos like a video game.
The NPC's name is Guy and works as a teller at a bank. Every day he volunteered to work at a bank, not infrequently his bank was robbed, but Guy really enjoyed it. Until one day he fought the robber and killed him. Guy took the glasses used by the robbers.
How shocked Guy was that the world he lived in was so interesting. Until finally he decided to live a new life, as a free character.
Apart from Ryan Reynolds, the trailer for 20th Century Fox shows some familiar actors and directors such as Taika Waititi, Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, and Utkarsh Ambudkar.
The film was directed by Shawn Levy, with a screenplay and story script created by Matt Lieberman and Zak Penn. Not only playing a role, Ryan Reynolds will also handle the production of this film with Michael Riley McGrath as the executive producer.
