Bank Mandiri Adjusts Maximum Limit Of Rp20 Million Cash Withdrawal At ATM Machines, Management: We Welcome

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk has adjusted the maximum nominal limit of funds for cash withdrawals through ATM machines that use chip technology from Rp. 15 million to Rp. 20 million per card in one day.

This limit increase is valid from 12 July 2021 to 30 September 2021. This adjustment is in line with the temporary adjustment of the maximum limit for cash withdrawals through chip-tech ATMs from Bank Indonesia (BI), to support government policies related to Emergency PPKM in order to suppress the rate of COVID-19.

Bank Mandiri Director of Operations Toni EB Subari explained that the limit increase was adjusted for Priority debit card types, Platinum GPN, Platinum Visa, Gold Business Visa and Platinum Business Visa.

"Bank Mandiri certainly welcomes and supports the temporary adjustment of the maximum limit for cash withdrawals through ATMs with chip technology as a way to mitigate the spread of COVID-19," said Toni in a written statement, Monday, July 12.

Toni explained, during the Emergency PPKM period, Bank Mandiri would continue to top up ATM machines with a maximum limit based on applicable regulations and periodically monitor the cash needs of the public and customers.

He also ensures that all Bank Mandiri ATM machines operate optimally and can accept transactions using chip debit cards to meet the needs of the public for cash transactions.

It was recorded that until the end of May 2021, the number of ATM machines owned by Bank Mandiri had reached 13,102 ATM units connected to the ATM Link, ATM Bersama, ATM Prima and Visa/Plus networks spread throughout Indonesia.

Of this amount, the total average frequency of cash withdrawals per ATM is 135 transactions per day. Meanwhile, the average value of cash withdrawal transactions per ATM reached Rp110 million per day.

The company also urges customers to implement health protocols by doing 5M, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, limiting mobility and using non-cash payments/QR Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), which is also an initiative of Bank Indonesia.

To that end, Bank Mandiri is actively campaigning for the use of digital services, one of which is Livin' By Mandiri to support customer transaction needs, including book-entry, bill payments, purchases, and the convenience of non-cash payments using QRIS.

In line with Bank Mandiri's desire to become the main financial partner of choice for customers, Bank Mandiri continues to develop various features to fulfill daily transactional activities, such as online transfers, bill payments, electronic money top ups, e-money balance top ups, payments with QRIS Livin. ' by Mandiri at Merchant Mandiri, integrated with credit cards (bill/limit information, convert transactions into installments), integrated with deposits/Mandiri Savings Plans, and other services that provide convenience to customers.

For the record, until the end of May 2021, merchant partners that can serve various non-cash transactions of Bank Mandiri continue to grow to reach more than 820 thousand physical EDC, Statis QR and e-commerce/online merchants. These merchants come from various economic sectors, such as food and beverage, fashion, wholesale trade, health, tourism, supermarkets or department stores, and other retail and online merchants.

Of the number of merchants, the total frequency of financial transactions through QR code scans recorded as of May 2021 has penetrated 1.4 million transactions with a volume value of more than Rp. 100 billion, an increase of more than 170 percent from the same period last year or year on year (YoY). .
