Minister Of Manpower Ida Fauziyah Says Companies Must Immediate Vaccination Of Their Workers: To Protect Their Families Too
JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah hopes that companies that have not vaccinated their workers can start realizing this step. Vaccination of workers itself is expected to accelerate the target of vaccination against 181.5 million people to achieve community immunity or herd immunity.
"Hopefully other companies will soon follow the companies that have carried out vaccinations," Ida said in an official statement, quoted Monday, July 12.
According to Ida, the vaccination program carried out by the company is very helpful for the government in its efforts to provide protection for workers and their families from COVID-19 transmission.
"As we all know, recently the cases of COVID-19 have continued to rise. So intensifying vaccination is an important effort to protect workers and their families," he said.
In addition, by vaccinating workers, the production process and productivity of workers are also expected to run more safely and comfortably. Thus, national economic recovery can be achieved.
"We hope that workers in industry, factories and companies will be able to work more productively and avoid the spread of COVID-19," said Ida.
Meanwhile, he advised workers who have been vaccinated to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols, both at work and in the community.
As for the direct review of vaccinations, Ida Fauziyah handed over a certificate of appreciation to companies that helped increase herd immunity through COVID-19 vaccination for workers or laborers and their families.
These include the Indonesian Shopping Center Retailers and Tenants Association (HIPPINDO), PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN), and PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM).
