Dwi Sasono Arrested For Possessing 16 Gram Marijuana, But He Is Not The Main Target Of The Police

JAKARTA - Indonesian actor Dwi Sasono was arrested in connection with possession of marijuana-type drugs. However, it was later discovered that he was not the initial target of the police.

The figure who became the target of the police was a dealer with the initials C. In fact, the police have been stalking him for the past few days.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus, said the man with the initials C had entered his party's radar after information about frequently distributing marijuana. So, immediately followed up to be arrested immediately.

"Initially based on public reports, then an investigation was carried out that there was someone who is now a DPO, we are still being chased, the initials C who often circulates cannabis-type drugs," said Yusri in Jakarta, Monday, June 1.

It's just that, in the process of arrest, this dealer is delivering marijuana to Dwi Sasono. So, said Yusri, his party would immediately raid the actor's residence in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, on Friday, May 26, at around 20.00 WIB.

Unfortunately, when it was raided, this dealer managed to escape. So, the police ransacked Dwi Sasono's house to look for evidence.

"After sending the goods to the suspect we detained, namely DS, that's where we made the arrest. But one of the suspects who was the dealer for the initials C, escaped and was pursued," said Yusri.

From the results of the search, Yusri continued, evidence of about 16 grams of cannabis was found. Unable to avoid it, Dwi Sasono gave up without a fight.

During an on-site examination, Dwi Sasono admitted that he actually obtained the cannabis-type drug from a dealer with the initials C who fled. So, the police immediately took him for further investigation.

"During a search at DS's residence, it was found that nearly 16 grams of cannabis was hidden in a cupboard somewhere," said Yusri.

From a temporary examination, Dwi Sasono has been consuming marijuana for the past month. In fact, based on his confession, Dwi Sasono took drugs to fill his spare time and for several other reasons.

"The motive he conveyed to investigators was to first fill the time gap, in which DS had trouble sleeping due to activities during COVID-19 which were carried out at home," said Yusri.

In addition, based on his narrative, Dwi Sasono has never distributed marijuana to a friend of his profession. In fact, Dwi Sasono had to keep his wife and family secret when he consumed marijuana.

"Until now he is alone. His wife also admits that she does not know. He (DS) is secretive, and his wife does not know that there is evidence," explained Yusri.

As a result of his actions, Dwi Sasono was charged with Article 114 paragraph 1 subsidiary to Article 111 of the narcotics law with the minimum penalty of five years in prison.
