Good News From BNPB, They Distribute Thousands Of Mattresses To Grass Market Flats For Isolation Of COVID-19 Patients

JAKARTA - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has added the distribution of COVID-19 patient isolation facilities at the Pasar Rumput Flats, South Jakarta.

Plt. Head of the BNPB Disaster Data and Communication Center Abdul Muhari said that the provision of facilities for self-isolation for COVID-19 patients was one of the government's steps in anticipation of a spike in cases.

This is because the number of active COVID-19 cases in the DKI Jakarta area has increased significantly.

"Therefore, the readiness of the Grass Market Flats will continue to be maximized to meet the needs of facilities and infrastructure according to the standards set for self-isolation," said Muhari in his statement, Sunday, July 10.

The isolation facilities sent to the Pasar Rumput Flats include 975 beds, 2,500 pillows, 4,141 mattresses, 2,793 sheets, 2,793 pillowcases, and 1,984 plastic chairs.

Then 1,000 units of fans, 1,984 units of towel racks, 2,160 units of dipper, 1,1200 units of buckets, 2,067 units of filing cabinets, 500 pcs of blankets, and 988 units of garbage bins.

The Pasar Rumput Flats consist of three towers. The plan in operation will start from the 4th floor to the 25th floor. Each floor has a variety of occupancy numbers, ranging from 29 to 34 occupancy.

Each dwelling will contain three beds, so the total capacity can reach 5,950 beds.

Some time ago, President Joko Widodo reviewed the readiness of the isolation location in the Pasar Rumput Flats. With these thousands of rooms, Jokowi ensured that the government was ready to accommodate OTG COVID-19 patients and mild symptoms in the event of a spike in cases.
