Positive For COVID-19? Calm Down, This Is A Tip From Dr. Reisa To Get Well Soon
JAKARTA – For someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 but does not feel symptoms that requires medical assistance, they must be vigilant but remain calm.
The Government Spokesperson for COVID-19 and Ambassador for the Adaptation of New Habits, Dr. Reisa Broto Asmoro, explained a number of tips so that you can recover quickly and not infect others.
"Immediately report to the Head of the Neighborhood Association (RT) or the Head of the Residents' Association (RW) or the local task force. They will help to report to the nearest Puskesmas," he said in a press statement for the Emergency PPKM daily, Saturday.
According to Reisa, it is better at this stage, after the test results are obtained, immediately open contact with doctors from online health services or telemedicine who will guide and give advice during the period of self-isolation (isoman).
"Good news for Jabodetabek residents, there are 11 telemedical service providers who will be ready to provide consultations and even free medicines and vitamins because they have collaborated with the Ministry of Health," he said.
He also reminded to choose a separate self-isolation location and do not allow contact with family members.
"Make sure the room is clean, ventilated, and the air circulation where the isoman is good. Fresh air flows well. Don't share eating utensils and toiletries. Even worship equipment is much better if you bring everything yourself," he added.
Asymptomatic patients also need to stock up on vitamins and other supplements. If other medicines are needed, patients can consult and ask for a doctor's prescription.
"Don't forget to drink lots of clean and boiled water or mineral water to avoid dehydration and consume only balanced nutritious food. Prepare an oximeter to record oxygen saturation in the body, a thermometer to check body temperature and if possible a blood pressure measuring device," said Reisa.
He added, if you feel fit, bring light exercise equipment and make sure communication tools such as mobile phones are always ready to use. This is important because for 10 days or as recommended by the supervising doctor, you are not allowed to contact, meet directly with anyone, including family members.
He emphasized that the end of the isolation period was decided by the supervising doctor, not a personal decision. "Get used to the sun into the isolation place and get used to sunbathing at least 30 minutes every day," he said.
Reisa said, schedule a consultation with a doctor during the isoman period, the doctor can refer to the hospital if severe symptoms arise.
"God willing, moreover, we have implemented the previous steps, our body condition is getting better, our immunity is fighting aggressively against the virus attack and we will soon return negative," he said.
