Although Worship In Mosques Is Allowed During Emergency PPKM, Acehnese Must Obey Prokes
ACEH - The Ulama Consultative Council (MPU) of Banda Aceh City asked local residents to comply with the COVID-19 health protocol (prokes) when worshiping at the mosque in accordance with the provisions for the Implementation of Micro Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).
"We ask the public to comply with the government's advice to implement the COVID-19 health protocol when worshiping, as stipulated in the Micro PPKM," said Banda Aceh MPU Chairman Tgk Damanhuri Basyir in Banda Aceh, Antara, Saturday, July 10.
Previously, the Mayor of Banda Aceh, Aminullah Usman, had issued Instruction Number 8 of 2021 regarding the extension of the implementation of the Micro PPKM and optimizing the COVID-19 handling post at the gampong (village) level.
In the instruction, the government limits the operational limits of coffee shops to shopping centers until 21.00 WIB. However, places of worship will remain open with strict procedures for implementing the regulations.
According to Tgk Damanhuri, what has become the policy of the Banda Aceh City Government regarding the implementation of worship at the mosque or prayer room has also accommodated the advice of the MPU.
He said in the policy it was conveyed that specifically for mosques, prayer rooms and other Muslim places of worship, it was still guided by the Taushiyah of the Aceh Ulama Consultative Council (MPU) Number 4 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Worship and Religious Social Activities in Emergency Conditions.
"All MPU tausiyah related to the implementation of worship during the COVID-19 pandemic that have been issued a lot are still valid. The mosque is still open, but with prokes," he said.
Therefore, it is hoped that the community will comply with what has been determined by the government for the safety of themselves and their respective families.
