San ATEEZ Positive For COVID-19, Currently Asymptomatic
JAKARTA - San ATEEZ has been confirmed positive for COVID-19. This was revealed by the agency that houses the idol, KQ Entertainment.
Currently, San ATEEZ is not showing any symptoms.
"Hello, this is KQ Entertainment. We hereby inform you that on the afternoon of July 9, ATEEZ's San was notified that he was confirmed to have COVID-19 without symptoms," KQ Entertainment said in an official statement.
"On July 8, the agency stated that all ATEEZ members have tested negative and are not classified as close contacts, and will therefore be resuming scheduled activities.
Ahead of the work event scheduled for that day, Yunho voluntarily decides to do another PCR test for the safety of everyone involved. He receives a negative result and attends the event as planned.
The other members also decide to get another PCR test for their future scheduled activities, and San is informed that he is positive for COVID-19 without any symptoms. Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, Wooyoung, and Jongho all received negative results.
From now on, ATEEZ will be suspending all scheduled activities. All members and their staff will actively participate with the instructions and procedures given by the disease control authorities.
"We once again apologize for causing fans concern. As an agency, we will do our best for San's speedy recovery. Thank you."
ATEEZ have been in voluntary self-quarantine for the past few days after an external staff member they worked with at an event tested positive for COVID-19.
The boy group had planned to resume activities last Friday after their initial test results showed negative.
