Not Yet Created, HBO Max Boss Call Justice League Snyder Cut Costs Up To 30 Million US Dollars
JAKARTA - Responding to fan requests, Zack Snyder announced his version of Justice League. This time, the film will not be broadcast on the big screen but is bought by HBO Max, HBO's OTT (over the top) streaming service. The news was confirmed on May 20 following the release of HBO Max this week.
Even though Snyder's version of Justice League will only be broadcast in 2021, this is one of HBO Max's marketing tricks to attract potential customers. Before confirming, DC fans made a petition about the version of Snyder (Snyder Cut) that should be aired.
Before Zack Snyder, there was Joss Whedon who was trusted by Warner Bros to handle the Justice League. Unfortunately, fans are not satisfied with the version of Whedon that doesn't fit the image of Justice League. As a result, the film also received criticism and received a negative response.
Snyder was also given the power to present his own version after leaving the film project because he wanted to focus on family in May 2017. Fans cheered because they chose to see Snyder's point of view that seemed to be healing the Justice League. But unfortunately this version has not been made even though it has announced its entry to HBO Max.
Reporting from Indiewire, director of WarnerMedia and HBO Max, Bob Greenblatt explained that the Snyder version is not yet available and has not been made. “It (film) doesn't exist. Zack is actually working on it and it's a complex, including the new VFX, ”he said in the Record Media podcast.
He said, the costs to be incurred for the manufacture of this Snyder Cut could reach 30 million United States dollars (US). Apart from being complex, this film is being worked on as if making a Justice League from scratch. The overall cost of Justice League on the big screen is reportedly up to 300 million US dollars.
Looking new, Zack Snyder will also invite Justice League players like Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, and others to record some new dialogue. After all, the players also participated in filling out a petition for Snyder to release his version through social media through the hashtag ReleaseTheSnyderCut.

Both Warner Bros and HBO Max have said they will support Zack Snyder and Snyder Cut's version of Justice League production well. DC fans and viewers who are waiting for this version are expected to be patient because the film will only be released in 2021 on an undetermined date.
