Premiere In Cannes, South Korea's Star-studded Emergency Declaration Declaration
JAKARTA - The film Emergency Declaration will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this month. Ahead of its release, Showbox released a trailer full of intense and studded with major South Korean actors and actresses.
Emergency Declaration is a film directed by Han Jae Rim which tells the story of the flight disaster of an airplane bound for Hawaii. They had to make an unconditional landing to deal with this disaster.
The one-minute trailer features several suspenseful scenes. In the midst of a complicated situation, they thought of a plan to land safely.
Song Kang Ho plays the detective who investigates the accident, Jeon Do Yeon as the general staff, Lee Byung Hun as the father with a phobia of planes, and Kim Nam Gil as the co-pilot.
Then there is Im Siwan as a passenger, Kim So Jin as a flight attendant, and Park Hae Joon as the head of crisis management.
The information in the trailer describes the tense situation that occurred in the Emergency Declaration. "When the flight is unable to continue its operations, the pilot must make a statement of the emergency situation."
“An aircraft making this statement is prioritized to land before any other aircraft. In aviation, this declaration is like a declaration of martial law.”
This film was selected to compete in the 74th Cannes Film Festival. Song Kang Ho, Lee Byung Hun, and Im Si Wan were confirmed to attend the event.
Besides, Lee Byung Hun was the bearer of the award, while Song Kang Ho was chosen to be one of the judges for the feature film category.
