Fishermen Find The Body Of KMP Yunicee Victim In Jembrana Aquatic Cages
JEMBRANA - The bodies of the victims of the sinking of KMP Yunicee were found in Kelatakan Waters, Melaya, Jembrana Regency, Bali. The bodies were found in cages about 500 meters from the beach.
"The Jembrana SAR Post received at 08.20 WITA to ask for evacuation assistance and the body has been pulled to Kelatakan Beach," said Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas Bali) Gede Darmada, Friday, July 9.
When found, the victim was still fully clothed with trousers and a black t-shirt. The body was identified by the Jembrana Police Inafis Team, on behalf of Adi Supanto (42) whose address is Krajan, Banyuwangi, East Java.
"Furthermore, the victim was evacuated to the State Hospital," he said.
Darmada explained that Adi Supanto's body was the victim who was reported missing by the family on the fifth day of the search and rescue operation, on Saturday, July 3.
"From today's discovery, out of a total of 77 POBs, 51 survivors were recorded, 10 people died and 16 people were missing," said Darmada.
