JAKARTA - The Government of Gresik Regency, East Java, provides free medicine for residents who are undergoing self-isolation. This is an effort to accelerate the healing of people in the local area.
"Starting today, the people of Gresik who are self-isolating will be given a package of medicines, vitamins and masks. The package will be delivered by the village COVID-19 task force to their homes," Gresik Regent Fandi Akhmad Yani said here Gresik, reported by Antara, Thursday. July 8th.
Gus Yani, as Fandi Akhmad Yani is familiarly called, after symbolically handing over the aid package to the Head of the Benjeng Health Center, Dr Soni said the package of medicines provided contained paracetamol (fever reducing) tablets, multivitamin tablets, Azithromycin (antibiotics), surgical masks and cloth masks. .
"I make sure that today all puskesmas have received this aid package, and today it has also begun to be distributed to villages. I ask that it be immediately distributed to people who are carrying out self-isolation at home," he said.
Gus Yani said that currently is the peak of the pandemic and is in trouble, because everywhere the hospital is full, Gresik is no exception.
"I've asked the hospital to add two hundred beds, but after four days it was full again," said Gus Yani.
He hopes that this assistance can relieve people who are undergoing self-isolation at home, because they do not need to prepare medicines.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Gresik Police, AKBP Arief Fitrianto, who accompanied the distribution of the drugs, hoped that this pandemic would soon pass.
"Comply with the 6M protocol, washing hands with soap, wearing masks, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds and limiting mobility, and avoiding eating together are things that people can do today to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 virus," he said.
