SUMSEL - Special Criminal Investigators of the High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) of South Sumatra (South Sumatra) are trying to target a new suspect in the alleged corruption case of grant funds for the construction of the Sriwijaya Grand Mosque in Palembang, 2015-2017
The case files for the four suspects in this case had previously been completed and were immediately transferred to the Palembang Corruption Court. They are Eddy Hermanto, Dwi Kridayani, Syarifudin, and Yudi Arminto.
Kasi Penkum Kejati Sumsel Khaidirman said, in an effort to target the new suspect, his party during the past week intensively examined several witnesses such as the secretary of the council and members of the DPRD of South Sumatra.
"Today, the South Sumatran Special Prosecutor's Office investigator team summoned the South Sumatra DPRD Secretary Ramadhan Basyeban and the South Sumatra DPRD member Chairul S Matdiah, who was then deputy chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD for the 2014-2019 period," he said in Palembang as reported by Antara, Wednesday, July 7.
He explained that DPRD Secretary Ramadhan Basyeban was questioned and questioned for suspects Mukti Sulaiman (former Secretary of the South Sumatra Province) and Ahmad Nasuhi (former Head of the Welfare Bureau of the South Sumatra Provincial Government).
Meanwhile, a member of the South Sumatra DPRD, Chairul S. Matdiah, was asked for information, because when the DPRD decided to provide grants for the construction of the Sriwijaya Grand Mosque, he served as Deputy Chair of the South Sumatra DPRD, he said.
After being questioned by investigators, the secretary of the South Sumatra DPRD, Ramadhan Basyeban, explained that he was asked for information regarding the process of budgeting grant funds, both in a regional regulation, and the process of budgeting grant funds at a plenary meeting.
"In the 2015 South Sumatra main budget, the revised APBD does not include additional grant funds. The addition of funds for the mosque's construction is in the 2017 APBD," said Ramadhan.
Regarding there are other funds besides grant funds of Rp130 billion, Ramadhan said he did not know about it.
"I only know the funds budgeted at the South Sumatra DPRD, regarding other aid funds or third party donations or all kinds of things that are beyond my knowledge," said Ramadhan.
