JAKARTA - After months of rumors, Nintendo has finally revealed the latest model of its flagship console dubbed the Nintendo Switch OLED. Citing the Mirror, Wednesday, July 7, via its official Twitter account, Nintendo officially announced the Nintendo Switch OLED with several enhancements to the component specifications and features, especially in terms of the screen.
This new Nintendo Switch model uses a 7-inch 720p OLED screen wrapped in a white base. The Nintendo Switch OLED screen is an improvement in terms of screen panel quality and screen size compared to the regular Nintendo Switch, which only uses a 6.2-inch LCD screen panel, the bezels also seem to be thinning.
Rumors circulated previously that the Nintendo Switch OLED would support 4K TV mode, but in reality the Nintendo Switch OLED is only capable of running TV mode with a resolution of 1080p.
Interestingly, the Nintendo Switch OLED storage aspect has increased from 32GB to 64GB of internal memory. There is also a new dock with a built-in wired ethernet port for both handheld mode and TV mode.
While the battery sector, Nintendo Switch OLED is able to operate for 9 hours non-stop. Unfortunately, there is no information whether the CPU and RAM will also increase.
Furthermore, the original Joy-Con can be used on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch OLED models. The new console is also compatible with today's popular games, meaning users can play games from the Switch library they have on the new system including the user's digital games.
Finally, the Nintendo Switch OLED also features an adjustable stand on the table, making it comfortable when used to play with friends. Although Nintendo has not announced an official price, there is speculation that the company will sell for Rp. 5 million.
