Subulussalam Aceh Social Service Office Searched For Corruption Of Rp4.8 Billion Social Assistance
JAKARTA - The Subulussalam District Prosecutor's Office, Aceh, searched the local Social Service (Dinsos) regarding the investigation of alleged corruption (tipikor) social assistance for the rehabilitation of uninhabitable houses with a budget of Rp. 4.8 billion.
The Head of the Subulussalam Attorney General's Office, Mayhardy Indra Putra, said the search was carried out to find evidence of the alleged criminal act of corruption in social assistance.
"During the search, the team brought a number of documents related to the social assistance project to rehabilitate uninhabitable houses managed by the Subulussalam City Social Service," said Mayhardy Indra Putra, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, July 7.
According to Mayhardy Indra, the documents brought by the search team included proposals for aid recipients, draft budgets, work contracts, and project payments per stage.
Mayhardy said the search was based on an investigation warrant dated 31 May 2021 and a search warrant dated 7 July 2021.
Mayhardy Indra said the search was carried out after the investigation and was upgraded to the investigation stage. The search was carried out after investigators examined a number of witnesses.
"So, this search is not just carried out, but has gone through the investigation process and has increased the status of the case handling to the investigation stage," said Mayhardy Indra Putra.
Regarding the suspect, Mayhardy Indra Putra said investigators had not yet determined him. Likewise with the calculation of state losses, they are still waiting for the results of the examination from the Aceh Representative Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKB).
"The social assistance project to rehabilitate uninhabitable houses at the Subulussalam City Social Service for more than Rp. 4.8 billion comes from Aceh's special autonomy funds for the 2019 fiscal year. It is suspected that there was a cut in social assistance," said Mayhardy Indra Putra.
