Sri Mulyani Calls The Pre-Employment Card Effective In Eliminating The Anxiety Of Job Seekers: Can Reduce Stress
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani emphasized that the Pre-Employment Card strategic program was considered quite effective in reducing the impact caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. He made the argument based on the results of a survey conducted by the government in line with the National Economic Recovery (PEN) scheme.
"The latest survey illustrates that the Pre-Employment Card program can also reduce stress or in this case the anxiety of job seekers," he said in a webinar held by Bisnis Indonesia, Wednesday, July 7.
The Minister of Finance added that the Pre-Employment Card is also claimed to help in increasing the competence of the participants who take part in the program.
"More than 85 percent of participants stated that they got an increase in competence after joining this program," he said.
Then, the cash incentives obtained by participants are considered very useful to help meet basic daily needs.
"96 percent of respondents stated that the money received was used to buy basic needs, and this is important to ensure that economic activity continues to rotate," he explained.
For information, this year the Pre-Employment Card targets 2.8 million participants with a budget of Rp 10 trillion.
The Pre-Employment Card itself is included in the National Economic Recovery Fund (PEN) scheme for the Social Protection sector with the latest budget reaching Rp149.08 trillion
