The murder of gold tycoon Nasruddin occurred on Monday, June 28. At that time, Nasruddin and his wife Virgita Legina Hellu initially went to an ophthalmologist in Jayapura City.
The two had stopped to buy perfume for Virgita Legina Hellu. At around 21.00 WIT, Monday, June 28, Nasruddin and Virgita went home by car.
"Then the victim was abused by the perpetrator by stabbing 20 times using a sharp weapon," said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Ahmad Musthofa Kamal in a written statement, Monday, July 5.
As a result of the abuse, the victim suffered injuries to the upper left side of the head, the back of the head. Wounds were also found on the neck, left cheek, left chin, left, right and middle chest and left earlobe of the victim.
"After committing the abuse, the perpetrator fled and took the bag belonging to the victim's wife," continued Kombes Kamal.
Currently, the police are coordinating with the Afghan Embassy in Indonesia to report the case of the murder of the gold tycoon in Jayapura, Nasruddin.
Kombes Kamal said the perpetrators of MM were arrested by the Jayapura City Police Criminal Investigation Unit personnel while at Sentani Airport, Jayapura Regency on Friday, July 2.
For his actions, the perpetrator MM was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated murder subsidiary to Article 338 of the Criminal Code.
