Airlangga Optimistic Target Of 3 Million Vaccines Per Day Fulfilled In October
JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for the Economy who is also the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartato, invited all banyan party cadres throughout Indonesia to work together to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I hope that all Golkar party cadres can become leaders in terms of public policy in this difficult era of the COVID-19 pandemic," said Airlangga when opening the webinar program for the Executive Education Program For Young Political Leaders, which was held by the Golkar Institute and monitored online, Monday, 5. July.
The reason, continued Airlangga, is currently not a single country in the world has experience in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, Airlangga hopes that the program will be able to give birth to thinkers and come up with new ideas to contain the spike in the corona virus.
"We hope that the various efforts that we have undertaken for the past 1.5 years are successful in tackling the impact and recovery of the COVID-19 pandemic," said the head of the COVID-19 handling team and the national economic recovery.
In addition to the Emergency PPKM, the Coordinating Minister for the Economy also encourages the vaccination program to be evenly distributed. The government even targets that in October the vaccination can reach 3 million doses per day to increase Herd Immunity 2021. Because currently it still reaches less than one million daily doses.
"I am sure that the target of 3 million will be achieved, because the availability of vaccines is very sufficient," said Airlangga.
To make this target a success, Airlangga asked Golkar cadres who currently serve as leaders of the DPD, the Chair of the DPRD in the Province, Regency and City, Governors, Mayors and others, to also encourage the implementation of vaccinations in the community.
"We must continue to take one step so that our nation is safe from the pandemic. We must get used to and continue to apply health protocols starting from keeping a distance, wearing masks, washing hands and others, even though the vaccination is already running," he said.
Airlangga also hopes that economic recovery and poverty alleviation can be carried out quickly. "We hope that poverty can remain in the single digit position," he said.
