Heha Sky View To South Shore Closed, But Only Angkringan Jogja Can Still Eat On Place

JAKARTA - The implementation of the Java-Bali emergency PPKM inevitably closes all crowded places such as tourist attractions. The restaurant may be open but only for take away. How are the conditions in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY)?

When the Emergency PPKM was enforced on Saturday, July 3, many restaurants in Jogja announced the closure. For example Heha Sky View to South Shore. What about the angkringan which is a characteristic of Jogja?

Quoted from the observation of Djawanews who toured the Sleman area. Some large food stalls do comply with the 5th point and usually there is an inscription on the front of the shop that warns, "Sorry for the time being until July 20 we only accept take away."

However, most of the small stalls such as burjo and angkringan from Djawanews monitoring, Monday 5 July afternoon.

One of them is a burjo on Jalan Pandean Sari Condongcatur, Sleman, Yogyakarta, it looks like a lot of visitors eating at the place. There were more than 8 people in the room which only measures 12 m2.

The DIY Tourism Office previously ensured that all tourist destinations managed by the government, private sector, and the public were temporarily closed from July 3 to July 20, 2021, according to the Instruction of the Governor of DIY No.17/INSTR/2021.

"I invite all tourist destination managers and tourism actors to carry out this policy in a disciplined manner for the sake of a better future tourism," explained the Head of the Yogyakarta Tourism Office, Singgih Raharjo, quoted from a statement by Public Relations Jogja.

Singgih said that this effort is expected to have a big impact, especially in reducing transmission and the number of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in DIY.

“The response from tourism actors and managers needs to be supported and appreciated. Hopefully their sincerity will bring about a big change in the decline in positive cases of COVID-19," he concluded.
