Polda Metro Will Take Action On Companies In Jakarta That Refuse To Violate WFH 100 Percent
JAKARTA - The police do not hesitate to impose strict sanctions on non-critical and non-essential companies that are desperate to operate during the implementation of the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). The firm sanctions are in the form of enforcement of justice to criminal threats.
Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirkrimum) Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Tubagus Ade Hidayat has formed a task force that will carry out law enforcement (Gakkum). Later, said Tubagus, the task force will take action against violators of the Emergency PPKM, including stubborn companies.
“There are several task forces, one of which is the Gakkum Task Force. This Gakkum Task Force aims to ensure that the implementation of Emergency PPKM is actually carried out. What are the conditions? It has been said that there are two types of action, the first is judicial, the second is investigation, the investigation is a criminal act," said Tubagus Ade Hidayat, quoted by Djawanews, Monday, July 5.
Law enforcement officials will use the Law on Outbreak Management to take firm action against PPKM violators, including non-essential companies that are still operating.
"What law will be applied? The law applied is the law on epidemic control. What is prohibited there? What is prohibited is all actions that hinder the response effort. is one form of efforts to overcome disease outbreaks," he continued.
On that basis, said Tubagus, if there are points in the Law on Plague Management that are violated, it is considered to have hindered the prevention of disease outbreaks. This can then be punishable by a crime.
"For example, non-critical and non-essential ones that should be closed, open, carry out operations, mean that they are hindering the prevention of disease outbreaks. We will apply them and we will investigate," he said.
The Java-Bali Emergency PPKM is officially enforced from July 3 to 20, 2021. In this policy, it is regulated for workers in the non-essential sector to apply 100 percent work from home (WFH). Likewise with teaching and learning activities, all of which are held online.
Meanwhile, for the essential sector, a maximum of 50 percent of WFH staff applies health protocols (prokes). Critical sectors are allowed 100 percent of staff to work from office (WHO) with progress.
The essential scope in question includes the financial and banking sectors, capital markets, payment systems, information and communication technology, non-COVID-19 quarantine handling hotels, as well as export-oriented industries.
The coverage of critical sectors is energy, health, security, logistics and transportation, food, beverage and supporting industries, petrochemicals, cement, national vital objects, disaster management, national strategic projects, construction, basic utilities (such as electricity and water), and fulfillment industries. basic daily needs of the community.
For supermarkets, traditional markets, grocery stores, and supermarkets that sell daily necessities, operating hours are limited to 20.00 local time with a capacity of 50 percent of visitors. Meanwhile, pharmacies and drug stores can be fully open 24 hours.
