Erick Thohir Supports Taspen And Mitsubishi To Build One Of The Tallest Buildings In DKI Jakarta

JAKARTA - SOE Minister Erick Thohir supports the collaboration between PT Taspen (Persero) and Mitsubishi Estate Co. to develop a green-energy concept superblock in Sudirman, Jakarta.

"Earlier last week, I and the Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Kenji Kanasugi witnessed the signing of a collaboration between Taspen and one of the world's largest developer companies Mitsubishi Estate Co for the development of a green-energy superblock concept on Jalan Sudirman," said Erick Thohir as quoted from an official account Instagramnya @erickthohir in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Monday 5 July.

Erick said that in the area one of the tallest buildings in Jakarta would be erected.

"This building will be the tallest in Jakarta, maybe also in Indonesia because this building will be used as an environmentally friendly building," he said.

This is something that both countries aim for, to use sustainable energy and a green economy. When the COVID-19 pandemic is a good time to turn some projects into property businesses that are more adaptable to the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The SOE Minister assessed that the collaboration between Taspen and Mitsubishi Estate would not only bring foreign investment, create employment opportunities, and in line with the transformation to a green economy, this collaboration will also strengthen relations between Indonesia and Japan.

Erick hopes that this collaboration can go well and open up new partnership opportunities to produce other proud works.

"This is something that I look forward to. I hope that from this collaboration there will also be cooperation in the future," said SOE Minister Erick Thohir.
