2021 Copa America Semifinal Schedule: Brazil Vs Peru, Argentina Vs Colombia

JAKARTA - Four teams have confirmed themselves to qualify for the 2021 Copa America semifinals. Brazil will face Peru, while Argentina are ready to serve Colombia.

Defending champion and host Brazil qualified for the last four after beating Chile 1-0 through Lucas Paqueta's single goal at the Estadio Nilton Santos, Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, July 3.

As for Peru, they advanced to the semifinals in dramatic fashion by beating Paraguay 4-3 on penalties after the two teams drew 3-3 for 90 minutes in the quarter-final match at Estadio Olimpico, Goiania on the same day.

David Martinez, Braian Samudio and Alberto Espinola all missed penalties for Paraguay, but Miguel Trauco guaranteed Peru a place in a second consecutive Copa semi-final after Santiago Ormeno and Christian Cueva had their shots saved by Pedro Gallase.

Meanwhile, Argentina qualified for the semi-finals after a convincing 3-0 win over Ecuador in the quarter-finals at the Stadio Olimpico Pedro Ludovico on Sunday.

Tango captain Lionel Messi was the star of the match after scoring one goal and providing two assists for goals from Rodrigo de Paul and Lautaro Martinez.

This victory led Argentina to face Colombia who previously eliminated Uruguay on penalties.

The first semifinal will pit Brazil against Peru on Tuesday, July 6 at 06.00 Indonesian time. Next, Argentina will face Colombia on Wednesday, July 7 at the same time.

Both matches will be broadcast live on Indosiar television station.
