Advanced Technology PCR Car Sent To Handle COVID-19 In East Java

JAKARTA - The Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 sent a high-tech Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) virus inspection machine to East Java. This PCR machine is operated in the car making it easier for inspection mobility.

One of the Bio Safety Level 2 Lab cars or mobile combat that was sent arrived in Surabaya at around 05.30 WIB today. The car has been parked at Bhayangkara Hospital, Surabaya. Meanwhile, another car had just departed from the Graha National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), East Jakarta.

Chairman of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, Doni Monardo, said the reason mobile combat was sent to East Java was because the level of transmission in this province was increasingly widespread. In the last few days, the number of COVID-19 transmission in East Java in one day was the highest compared to other provinces.

Several times, the number of COVID-19 cases in East Java in one day can overtake the figure in DKI Jakarta, which is the province with the most cases in Indonesia. In fact, on May 21, the number of additional COVID-19 cases which reached a record high of 971 cases was due to the increase in cases in East Java which reached 502 cases in one day.

"In the last few days there has indeed been an increase in the number of cases, but this cannot be separated from the efforts of the East Java Surabaya government to increase the number of investigations," said Doni at Graha BNPB, East Jakarta, Wednesday, May 27.

Director of PT Into Dharma Global Indo Santoso Halim explained that the mobile combat COVID-19 that was sent had advanced technology from South Korea. If an ordinary PCR machine gets a COVID-19 test result within 24 hours, it will be able to check faster.

"With a relatively fast time, about 40 minutes, to be precise 39 minutes, we can immediately find out whether someone is positive for corona or negative for corona," said Santoso.

This machine uses crystal mix technology with dense reagents. In this mobile combat, there are three negative pressure points that are installed. One point in the cabinet itself, one on the swab cambers, and one in the room.

"We can easily take it anywhere, with room temperature. So, there is no need for a special cooling minus 80 degrees or minus 20 degrees. Well, this is what makes it very easy for us, and accelerates us in processing and knowing ODP and PDP. whether there is a positive corona or not, "said Santoso.

Furthermore, the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 plans to add three vehicles with nano-tech bio safety cabinet (BSC) II specifications. Additional field sample test cars will be sent to Lumajang, Surabaya City and Sidoarjo areas.
