During The Emergency PPKM Period, PLN Is Ready To Implement The Electricity Stimulus Policy July-September 2021
JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) stated that it is ready to implement the government's decision to extend the electricity stimulus for small communities, industry, business, and social workers from July to September 2021. This program is implemented by PLN in connection with the implementation of Emergency PPKM in Java and Bali.
PLN's Director of Commerce and Customer Management Bob Saril in his statement in Jakarta, Sunday, July 4, explained that the electrical stimulus is expected to encourage people and businesses to remain productive, as well as increase purchasing power in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"PLN always supports and continues to implement the government's decision to provide electrical stimulus for small communities and businesses affected by COVID-19," said Bob as reported by Antara.
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has determined that two groups of customers will receive the electricity stimulus, namely 450 voltamperes (VA) and 900 VA customers.
Customers of 450 VA power households, 450 VA power small businesses, and 450 VA power small industries are given a 50 percent discount on electricity rates with a maximum use of 720 hours of power.
Furthermore, subsidized 900 VA power household customers are given a discount of 25 percent electricity tariff with a maximum use of 720 hours of power.
Exemption of expense or subscription fees, as well as exemption from the minimum account requirement of 50 percent for industrial, business, and social customers.
For postpaid customers, discounts are given by directly deducting the customer's electricity bill. Meanwhile, for prepaid customers, discounted electricity rates are given when purchasing electricity tokens.
"For 450 VA power prepaid customers, there is no need to access tokens either on the website, Whatsapp service, or through the PLN Mobile application. Stimulus will be obtained immediately when buying electricity tokens," added Bob.
Furthermore, Bob explained that the exemption of burden fees, subscriptions, exemption from the minimum account provisions, and the provision of stimulus will be given automatically by cutting the electricity bills of social, business, and industrial consumers.
A discount of 50 percent is only given for expenses or subscription fees and minimum account usage fees.
Since April 2020, the government through PLN has distributed an electricity stimulus of IDR 13.15 trillion to 33.02 million customers.
Meanwhile, in the third quarter of July to September 2021, the government has allocated a budget of Rp. 2.33 trillion for the electricity stimulus. As a PLN customer, have you enjoyed this stimulus from PLN?
