Luhut Predicts COVID-19 To Continue To Rise In 2 Weeks, Saleh Daulay: This Is A Warning!

JAKARTA - Member of Commission IX DPR RI Faction PAN Saleh Partaonan Daulay mentioned the statement of Coordinating Minister for Maritime Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan predicting the number of COVID-19 in Indonesia will continue to increase in the next 2 weeks, as a warning.

According to him, the implementation of emergency PPKM in Java and Bali is part of the government's steps in predicting the increasing number of new COVID-19 cases in the country.

"Emergency PPKM is considered as one part of the way to reduce people exposed to COVID-19," said Saleh, Sunday, July 4.

"So, for example, now it is said that there will be another spike, I think this is certainly part of a warning, a warning to all that in the next 1-2 weeks we are careful to leave the house. If possible, do not leave the house, unless if there are important and urgent matters," he continued.

The chairman of the PAN faction in the DPR assessed that such a prediction might be right. Because, he said, the addition of new cases of COVID-19 in the last 3 days has repeatedly recorded the highest record, especially in DKI Jakarta.

"This is part of what everyone must watch out for and pay close attention to, and everyone must participate in contributing to the decline in the COVID-19 virus in Indonesia," Saleh urged.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan predicted that the number of pandemics in Indonesia would continue to climb. This is based on the number of COVID-19 in Indonesia, which has repeatedly broken records.

"This is the next 10 days in my opinion, maybe the next two weeks will continue to increase. This is because the incubation period for this variant is still running. This is a critical period of 2 weeks," said the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Investment, who is the Coordinator of Emergency PPKM. by the Indonesian Ministry of Health's YouTube channel, Saturday, July 3.

As is known, the highest number of new cases of COVID-19 has been exceeded many times. Finally, Saturday, July 3, yesterday, there were 27,913 new cases of COVID-19 with a new death toll of 493 people in a day.
