Take The Best Of Animation Science, Take-Two Acquires Dynamixyz
JAKARTA - Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games and 2K Games, has acquired Dynamixyz. The acquired company is a "video-based facial animation service" company working on projects such as Avengers: Endgame and Love, Death & Robots, as well as Take-Two's own Red Dead Redemption II and NBA 2K21.
Dynamixyz is claimed to have "exclusive, cutting-edge motion capture, facial analysis, and complete 3D processing tools and technologies" spanning CG, computer vision and machine learning.
Take-Two did not disclose the purchase price for Dynamixyz, which is based in Cesson-Sévigné, France.
Take-Two simply said the acquisition of Dynamixyz is the company's next step in its plans to increase its internal development capabilities so that it can become "the most creative, innovative and efficient entertainment company."
Furthermore Dynamixyz will become a division of Take-Two and will work only with Take-Two labels, including Rockstar and 2K. Their current CEO, Gaspard Breton, will continue to lead the company.
