JAKARTA - The case file of a sexual violence case with a suspected Jember University lecturer (Unej) with the initials RH has been declared P21 or complete.

so that investigators from the Jember Resort Police (Polres) handed over the suspect and his evidence to the local District Attorney's Office, Friday, July 2.

"Today, the submission of the second stage, namely the case file of the sexual violence case with the suspect RH to the prosecutor," said Head of the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Jember Police, Iptu Diyah Vitasari, to reporters in Jember.

The Jember Police PPA investigators handed over RH with several pieces of evidence, including a number of documents supporting RH's obscene acts against minors and evidence of voice recordings recorded by the victim when the act of sexual harassment or violence occurred.

While it was confirmed separately, the Head of Intel at the Jember District Attorney's Office, Agus Budiarto, confirmed that the suspect was handed over to the RH lecturer and evidence of a sexual violence case to the public prosecutor (JPU).

"When the second stage of handover was carried out, the suspect was in good health and was accompanied by his team of legal advisers at the Jember Kejari Office," he said.

He explained that the public prosecutor had time to make an indictment and delegate the case to the Jember District Court for trial.

"Meanwhile, the prosecutor who was appointed to handle the case, namely the Head of General Crimes Adhitya Okto Tohari, so that in the near future he will make an indictment on the case," he said.

Previously, the police had officially named an Unej lecturer with the initials RH as a suspect in the alleged sexual assault case against a 16-year-old teenager who is also his own nephew.

The victim was severely traumatized by the incident, so the victim was accompanied by LBH Jentera and the Jember Integrated Service Center (PPT) in dealing with the case.

Meanwhile, the Rectorate of the University of Jember has finally temporarily relieved RH from his position as Coordinator of the Master Program (S-2) of the Administrative Sciences Study Program FISIP Unej since April 15, 2021, so that since then the candidate for the Unej professor has not been given the task of teaching, guiding, and testing. .
