Evaluation Of COVID-19 Handling, Governor Of Lampung: We Must Save The People
JAKARTA - Lampung Governor Arinal Djunaidi held a meeting to evaluate the handling of COVID-19 in all regencies/cities throughout Lampung Province with the Lampung Provincial Forkopimda, at Mahan Agung, Bandarlampung, Friday, July 2.
"This evaluation meeting was held to monitor the current condition of COVID-19 and its handling in districts/cities, the progress of vaccination implementation, and the progress of incentives for health workers," Arinal said as quoted by Antara.
He explained, considering the national COVID-19 situation which has recently increased, the Central Government has taken steps to implement the policy of implementing Emergency PPKM in 122 regencies/cities in Java and Bali.
The Governor of Lampung considers it necessary to improve coordination and handling in order to prevent a similar approach from happening in Lampung Province.
"This is based on the fact that Lampung Province has 4 entrances, so that Lampung has a large potential for danger," he said.
Arinal invited all regents/mayors and provincial/regional Forkopimda ranks, both in person and virtual, to remain enthusiastic and work harder in handling COVID-19.
"I really hope that we have to save the people. To the regents/mayors, prioritize saving the nation's children. If necessary, do refocusing, evaluate non-essential programs," said Governor Arinal.
The governor also invited the regents/mayors and the ranks of the TNI/Polri to continue working hard to increase public awareness regarding the implementation of the Micro PPKM that has been implemented in Lampung Province.
"I hope the regents/mayors to improve coordination with the dandim, the police chief as well as with the regency/city DPRD. This is important, so that whoever does what can be carried out properly," hoped the governor.
In the meeting, the Governor also asked for a report from the regent/mayor regarding the implementation of COVID-19 control at the village level so that what has been done can be coordinated and become one of the basis for taking a policy.
