Euro 2020 Quarter-Final Preview, Czech Vs Denmark: Two Armed Teams Duel
JAKARTA - The Euro 2020 quarter-final match between the Czech Republic and Denmark national team, which is scheduled to take place in Baku, Saturday, is likened to a duel of two twin armed teams.
This was stated by Czech assistant coach Jiri Chytry who assessed that there were many similarities between his squad's appearance and Denmark's performance throughout Euro 2020.
Denmark qualified for the quarter-finals after crushing Wales in the last 16 after closing out the group stage by beating Russia, while the Czechs managed to qualify from a tough group of England and Croatia before overthrowing the seeded Netherlands in the last 16.
"Diamonds can cut other diamonds. Both teams depend on teamwork and explosive fast play," said Chrty, quoted by Antara from UEFA's official website, Friday.
"Both teams are equally capable of fighting teams rich in individual abilities with their respective assets. We have the same weapons," he added.
Czech midfielder Antonin Barak admitted that he had monitored Denmark's performances throughout the tournament and got a big picture of how his opponent played.

"They have a balanced team and display an interesting style, but are also very demanding on their opponents," said Barak.
Meanwhile, Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand insists that the quarter-final against the Czechs is a rare opportunity for the players in his squad.
Therefore, he and his players will try to do everything in their power to make the most of this opportunity.
"This is a kind of opportunity that may not come again, an opportunity that we have achieved through hard work for so long. This is a childhood dream and the result of many years of work," he said.
"We want to make the most of it and give everything we can, prepare well and see how far we can go," concluded Hjalmund.
