Hot Night In The DPRD Meeting Room

JAKARTA - The meeting room of Commission C DPRD DKI was heated up last night. A quarrel occurred in the middle of discussing the submission of the 2020 APBD draft regarding regional capital participation (PMD) with the BUMD PDAM.

The meeting that had been running since morning, with short breaks of rest, made the two members of Commission C unable to hold back their emotions. They are DPRD members from the PDI Perjuangan Cinta Mega faction with the Anthony Winza faction from the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).

Initially, Cinta was exploring budget proposals with PDAM ranks through a number of questions. Tetiba, he remembered a moment, where Anthony searched for budget proposals for a computer in the afternoon session discussion with the Regional Tax and Retribution Agency (BPRD).

Immediately, Cinta asked Anthony not to spread the discussion of the meeting to the media crew, as had been done by a member of the PSI faction, William Aditya Sarana, regarding the "glue shame" budget. Discussions about the PDAM budget proposal have stalled.

Cinta's request was immediately responded to by Anthony, who felt that Cinta was unilaterally accused in the middle of the ongoing meeting.

"What are the other accusations," said Anthony responding to Cinta's accusation in the DPRD Commission C meeting room, Jakarta, Thursday, December 5.

The two of them continued to argue, accompanied by gestures of pointing at each other. Realizing that the quarrel had not stopped yet, the other members of Commission C immediately broke up the dispute between Cinta and Anthony.

Not long after, the Chairman of Commission C, Habib Muhamad bin Salim Alatas decided to suspend the meeting. Not only that, he also immediately asked Anthony to enter the board room. "Anthony, I am the chairman of the meeting, go inside first," said Habib.

Anthony, with an emotional expression on the accusation of Cinta, immediately entered the council room. Not long after, all journalists covering the meeting were asked to leave the location by Pamdal officers who were still on guard around the DPRD building.

Outside the meeting room, Commission C member Andyka did not want to exaggerate the argument. According to him, this is a common dynamic during budget discussions.

According to him, the members of Commission C were disappointed with the attitude of Anthony who was accused of having disseminated the discussion results on the budget for the procurement of a computer to the media crew.

In fact, when looking at the budget for a computer set, Anthony directly questioned the Head of BPRD during the discussion meeting this afternoon.

The meeting itself was open, and media crews were given the freedom to cover the event. Until this news was written, neither Anthony nor Cinta could provide any information.

For information, in Commission C with BPRD, Anthony questioned the high cost of a computer set by BPRD. The reason is, the total nominal value of computer procurement is Rp. 128.99 billion.

In details, there is one unit of the Mainframe Z14 ZR1 computer for Rp.66.6 billion, two storage area network (SAN) switches for Rp.3.49 billion, six server units for Rp.307.9 million, and nine storage units for mainframes for Rp.58. 5 billion.

"I see that in the BPRD there is a pretty fantastic budget, it is for the purchase of a computer with data analytical capabilities, one unit is Rp. 60 billion, plus there are nine additional units. What do I see, that's around Rp. 60 billion as well. So the total is Rp. 120 billion, "said Anthony.

The PSI faction member also questioned the results the government would get after using this tool.

"If you already buy this tool, you can add how much PAD (local revenue). Don't buy the equipment, but you don't know what it is for, you don't know what the specifications are, how much the output can be," he said.
