COVID-19 Emergency, Bogor City Government Operates Field Hospital Again
BOGOR - The Bogor City Government has re-operated the Field Hospital at the GOR Pajajaran Complex, Bogor City to increase the availability of beds for COVID-19 positive patients.
"The Field Hospital will operate again starting Friday tomorrow," said Bogor Mayor Bima Arya, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 1.
According to Bima Arya, in preparation for the operation of the Field Hospital, he had coordinated and received full support from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
The Field Hospital, he said, will be operated by the Bogor City Hospital in stages starting Friday, July 2, by preparing 30 beds.
"The number of beds will be gradually increased in accordance with the results of the recruitment of health workers," he said.
Bima explained that COVID-19 patients treated at the Field Hospital were patients with moderate or yellow symptoms, because patients with mild symptoms and patients without symptoms (OTG) were treated at the Isolation Center and underwent independent isolation at home.
"Only COVID-19 patients with severe symptoms are treated at a referral hospital in Bogor City," he said.
According to Bima, the Bogor City Government also does not prohibit COVID-19 patients from outside the city of Bogor wanting to be treated in Bogor City. "In the previous Field Hospital operation, there were about 35 percent of patients from outside the city of Bogor," he said.
What about the Field Hospital operating budget? Bima explained that the operation of the Field Hospital is under the supervision of the RSUD.
The budget is from the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD). This is regulated in the Regulation of the Mayor of Bogor City Number 12 of 2015 concerning Loan Management at the Regional Public Service Agency of the Bogor City Regional General Hospital.
Bima explained, COVID-19 patients who will be treated at the Field Hospital, seek treatment at the Bogor City Hospital. "In RSUD there is an IGD (Emergency Installation). Later, the ER will decide whether to be treated at the RSUD or referred to the RSL," he said.
Previously, the Field Hospital had been operational as a place to treat COVID-19 positive patients with mild to moderate symptoms, from January 18 to April 18 2021.
