The Positive Side Of The Postponement Of Liga 1, Angelo Alessio: Many Opportunities To Prepare Tactics
JAKARTA - Persija coach Angelo Alessio took the positive side of the postponement of the 2021-2022 Indonesian Liga 1 due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
Quoted by Antara from Persija's official website in Jakarta, Thursday, Alessio said the delay gave his team more time to prepare.
"We have more opportunities to prepare ourselves, especially in terms of tactics," said the Italian.

Angelo Alessio understands the decision of PSSI and PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) to postpone the 2021-2022 Liga 1 schedule, from initially starting on July 9, to the end of July 2021.
The tactician, who was an assistant coach when he brought Juventus and Chelsea to league titles in their respective countries, emphasized that human health must be prioritized during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I feel that (the postponement of the League 1 schedule) is the right solution because we are in difficult times due to COVID-19," said Alessio.

COVID-19 cases have increased significantly in Indonesia in recent weeks, especially on the island of Java. As a result, League 1 and League 2 had to be postponed.
In response to the latest pandemic situation, the Indonesian government has also implemented a policy of Implementing Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) on 3-20 July 2021 in Java and Bali.
